Northwest Florida New South Coalition Political Committee Says “Stand With Us and Support Brian Spencer”
Brian Spencer today received another major endorsement as The Northwest Florida New South Coalition Political Committee, Inc. announced its support for Brian Spencer for mayor of Pensacola. His leadership in the city, combined with his direct involvement in the growth of downtown Pensacola, earned the Coalition’s support, according to a statement released by the organization.
The Northwest Florida New South Coalition Political Committee, Inc.’s mandate is to “promote improving the quality of life for politically and economically disadvantaged citizens on the Gulf Coast.” Many of the Coalition’s members are black and are residents of Pensacola, according to the statement.
Attorney Gerald McKenzie, a member of the Northwest Florida New South Coalition Political Committee, Inc., says Brian Spencer for Mayor of Pensacola is one of the most important campaigns for black voters to support. “The Black community will benefit from Brian Spencer’s new ideas that will result in more jobs and opportunities,” he said.
“Today I am proud to be endorsed by the members of Northwest Florida New South Coalition Political Committee,” said Spencer. “This organization understands the importance of the 2018 mayoral election, where jobs and opportunities are indeed at stake. I am honored to have the support of its passionate and dedicated members—as well as their ideas and engagement in my campaign—and I thank them for putting their confidence in me to lead Pensacola as our city’s next mayor.”
Spencer has already earned the endorsement of a long list of supporters including civil rights leader Reverend H.K. Matthews, Philanthropist Nancy Fetterman, Pastors Terri and Dr. Joe Marshall, former US Navy SEAL Kevin Lacz, community volunteer Calvin “Kru” Rancifer, long-time City of Pensacola employee John Carter and many others.
